Altiste originaire de Montréal, Amina Myriam Tébini est titulaire d’une maîtrise de la Yale School of Music, où elle a étudié l’alto avec Ettore Causa et la musique de chambre

avec le Quatuor à cordes de Tokyo. Elle a aussi étudié avec André Roy à l’École de musique Schulich de l’Université McGill, d’où elle détient un diplôme d’artiste ainsi qu’un baccalauréat en interprétation avec haute distinction. Ses divers engagements l’ont amenée à jouer au Concertgebouw d’Amsterdam, au Royal Albert Hall à Londres, au Festival international de Jazz de Montréal, au Poisson Rouge de New York ainsi qu’à l’auditorium Isaac Stern du Carnegie Hall. Elle a joué dernièrement au sein des orchestres symphoniques de Montréal, de Trois-Rivières, de Québec et des Violons du Roy, tout en restant une chambriste active, entre autres comme membre du Quatuor Voxpopuli (2019-2021) et comme directrice et altiste fondatrice du nouveau nonet CASSIOPÉE. Elle participe aussi à de nombreux projets pop stimulants, comme des enregistrements de CD, de bandes sonores et une tournée récente de Céline Dion. Depuis 2013, Amina est professeure d’alto au CÉGEP Vanier. Elle a été nommée alto solo de l’Orchestre Symphonique de Laval (2019-2020) et de l’Orchestre Symphonique de Sherbrooke.



Montreal violist Amina Myriam Tébini holds a Master’s of Music from the Yale School of Music, where she studied viola with Ettore Causa and chamber music with the Tokyo String Quartet. She also studied with André Roy at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, where she completed an Artist Diploma and her Bachelor’s of Music as a Schulich Scholar. Her diverse orchestral performances have brought her to different stages, such as the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York City’s Poisson Rouge and the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall. Back in Quebec, she most recently performed with the Montreal, Trois-Rivières and Quebec Symphonies and with Les Violons du Roy Orchestra, while staying an active chamber musician as a member of Quatuor Voxpopuli (2019-2021) and as director and violist within the newly formed CASSIOPÉE nonet. She also loves to take part in pop music projects, such as CD and film score recordings, and accompanying Celine Dion on a recent tour. Amina has been teaching viola at Vanier College since 2013. She was appointed principal violist of the Laval Symphony Orchestra (2019-2020) and Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra.
